Notice
1. Collect combustible infectious waste (excluding liquids) in red sterilization bags, tying them securely and ensuring they are no more than 80% full. For combustible infectious waste containing solid culture media, first collect and tie it in a red sterilization bag, then place and tie that bag inside a second red sterilization bag; the waste is then transported to the sterilization room for autoclaving, followed by collection and centralized incineration by an environmental services company.
2. Organic solvents containing acids or bases, chlorine-based bleach, or hypochlorite solutions must be disposed of in accordance with the school's organic solvent recovery procedures. Combustible waste containing paraffin wax should be collected in red sterilization bags and placed in the green collection cart in the sterilization room; a waste management company will then transport the waste for centralized incineration.
